Accessorizing Fail
Occasionally I like to pop over J. Crew to see what's new in the wedding department, and I'm not usually disappointed. Their evening dress are usually what I would call access in terms of style, but also a little bit peculiar (lunar sunlight? Flyers femme?). But I have to say, the brand is not doing themselves any favors with this:
And by that I mean the way it is presented, not the product being sold. What we are witnessing is not a hybrid formal wedding dress casual, but a $ 3,000 fine skirt made of layers of shiny metal foil folds Italian printed tulle, topped with solid volumes of French tulle gauze. We are talking about the good gown, designed by master weaver Halette Sophie. AND J. Crew, to advertise it, couples with a ratty-looking old shirt into a slouchtastic model, making a skirt look amazing as some junk shop adolescents. I do not like that. Makes drive anyone nuts over?
